Enid Public Library Now Accepting Found Items Following April 23 Tornado
April 27, 2026
The Enid Public Library is now serving as a centralized drop-off location for items that may have been lost or displaced during the April 23 tornado.
Community members who find personal belongings are encouraged to bring them to the library, located at 120 W. Maine St., Enid, OK 73701. Staff will help organize and safeguard items so residents can easily search for missing possessions.
Items that can be turned in include photos, driver licenses or other identification, birth certificates and legal documents, mail, checkbooks, medical or insurance paperwork, and other personal belongings containing identifying information.
Residents should not post photos of found personal documents or private items online, as doing so may compromise individuals’ privacy. Turning items in at the library helps ensure they are handled securely and returned to their rightful owners when possible.
The library continues to support the community’s recovery efforts and remains open during regularly scheduled hours.
For more information, contact the library at 580-234-6313 or publiclibrary@enid.org. For updates related to tornado recovery, visit the city’s official disaster relief page at www.enid.org.
